Outstanding Unit Award (For performance that exceeds all stated standards
and objectives)
Achievement Award (For notable or superior service not otherwise
recognized)
Veteran Recognition (for any veteran of the U.S. armed forces)
Director Recognition (for members of the Board of Directors)
HQ Staff Recognition (for current members assigned to National HQ staff)
Division Commander Recognition (for a current Division Commander)
Brigade Commander Recognition (for a current Brigade Commander)
Authorized ribbons may be worn in the above order of precedence behind
military ribbons on the same rack, left side, on Class A, B, and C uniforms.
Veterans may, if they wish, elect to wear only the USCOC awards. Wear of USCOC awarded ribbons is optional by all members,
but if one is worn all earned by the member must be worn.

The following “certificate only” awards are authorized and will be made to members meeting the stated criteria:
- Certificates managed & awarded by the Board of Directors (Nominated by anyone):
- Chaplain of the Year
/ with Ribbon – For
efforts clearly above the standards observed by others
- Outstanding Unit
/ with Ribbon - For
performance that exceeds all stated standards and objectives

- Certificates awarded & signed by the
National Commander, Board of Directors, or the member’s Chain of Command:
- Certificate of Appreciation
– Awarded in appreciation of support for the USCOC or the furtherance of its
objectives
