The above ribbons are authorized for award to members of the USCOC and should be worn in the order and manner prescribed:

  1. Legion of Honor (for risk or loss of life in service to others)
  2. HQ Senior Staff Member of the Year (Nominated and selected by BOD)
  3. Volunteer of the Year
  4. (Nominated by anyone, selected by BOD)
  5. Chaplain of the Year (Nominated by anyone, selected by BOD)
  6. Commissioned Officer (O1 - O10) of the Year (Nominated by anyone, selected by BOD)
  7. Noncommissioned Officer (E4 - E9) of the Year (Nominated by anyone, selected by BOD)
  8. Jr. Enlisted (E1 - E3) Member of the Year (Nominated by anyone, selected by BOD)
  9. Outstanding Leadership Award (For clearly superior achievement in a Command or supervisory position)
  10. Outstanding Unit Award (For performance that exceeds all stated standards and objectives)
  11. Achievement Award (For notable or superior service not otherwise recognized)
  12. Veteran Recognition (for any veteran of the U.S. armed forces)
  13. Director Recognition (for members of the Board of Directors)
  14. HQ Staff Recognition (for current members assigned to National HQ staff)
  15. Division Commander Recognition (for a current Division Commander)
  16. Brigade Commander Recognition (for a current Brigade Commander)

Authorized ribbons may be worn in the above order of precedence behind military ribbons on the same rack, left side, on Class A, B, and C uniforms. Veterans may, if they wish, elect to wear only the USCOC awards. Wear of USCOC awarded ribbons is optional by all members, but if one is worn all earned by the member must be worn.
